CNRL Horizon Hydrogen Plant
The CNRL Horizon H2 Plant is a 144,000 MMSCFD plant including a reformer, two compressors, and a PSA facility.
For this project JV Driver was the general contractor providing civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and finishes. Our scope included over 859 metric tons of support steel, 21 modules, 1,000 concrete piles, 3,500 cu. meters of concrete foundations, 50,000 ft. of piping, construction of the reformer, and pressure parts.
Due to high performance and a record of completing jobs on schedule, more work was continually added to our scope. We took over several of the electrical scopes, and successfully mobilized over 150 electricians in less than 3 weeks.
The project involved a large amount of alloy welding which was completed with no rework and a weld repair of less than 1%. Further, our scope was completed with no Lost Time Accidents and a TRIR of 0.6. Adding to our Safety and Quality accomplishments, we broke Technip's world record for most tubes stabbed (48) in one day.

CNRL Horizon Extraction Plant
The CNRL Extraction Plant consists of 2 primary separation cells, flotation cells, 20 pipe rack modules, hot water facility, electrical substation, and an emergency dump sump.
JV Driver was involved in this project right from the early stages of development providing constructability support, labour strategies, and construction services. Our scope, as the general contractor, included Civil, Structural, Piping, and Mechanical Services composing of 700,000 craft man-hours. We also provided the Off-Site Fabrication and Module Assembly for this project.
JV Driver was engaged for the entire four year life of the project. During that time, there were no changes in the productivity units. To add to our success, JV Driver was the first to turn over a silo for commissioning and did so with no re-work and a weld repair of less than 1%. This project was completed on schedule with no Lost Time Incidents Recorded.

Devon Jackfish- SAGD
The Jackfish project is a 35,000 barrel-per-day SAGD plant and is located approximately 15 km southeast of Conklin, Alberta.
JV Driver was responsible for the entire scope of construction and self-performed all, but the electrical and instrumentation. This work included all civil foundations and structural work required for the erection of the structures. In addition, JV Driver executed all work in the piping and mechanical scope, utilizing a 300 ton 2250 Manitowoc with MAX-ER® for the installation of modules and vessels from 100- 250 tons. All rigging studies were conducted by JV Driver.
JV Driver utilized constructability reviews during the engineering phase to identify and implement cost effective solutions, including a patented form system, reducing costs and ensuring the project schedule.
Construction was carried out within two years and accounted for 650,000 man-hours, with no Lost Time Accidents.
